Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some common questions and answers about the Mission Area Agrifoods Industry Survey. If you have any more questions, please use the form at the bottom of this page to contact us directly and we’ll reply right away!

Who is conducting this inventory?

We are calling on behalf of the Mission Community Skills Centre and we are undertaking this inventory in order to help to guide the future development of services and supports for the Agrifoods industry in the Mission area.

Who will see this data?

Your responses are completely confidential and will only ever be reviewed and/or used by the Mission Community Skills Centre. If we would like to use the data for any other purpose, we will receive your written approval. This Privacy Statement is published on the web at: http://www.agrifoodscanada.com/mission

Why are you conducting this inventory?

Primarily, we hope to develop a set of anonymous statistics that show trends in our current Agrifoods industry and also help us to identify where we can help the industry grow. That help may come in the form of skilled workers, training opportunities, development of tools and services in the areas of logistics and supply chain management, and identify new market opportunities for all our participants.

How did you get my contact information?

In order to identify all the businesses involved in the local Agrifoods industry, we used many data sources including associations and coops, direct contacts at Farm Markets and retail locations, listings by the Chamber of Commerce and other business groups, and data shared with us by the District of Mission such as business licenses.

I don’t have time to speak to you on the phone.

You can complete the survey questions online. Visit http://www.agrifoodscanada.com/mission and click on the button and complete the survey anytime that is convenient for you, however, we do ask that you complete it before January 31, 2018 in order for us to properly compile the data for our final reports.

I don’t want to give you this information.

We understand your apprehension and ask that you consider answering as many questions as you feel comfortable with. If there is a question that you would not like to answer, we’ll exclude it. The responses you are comfortable with will still be a great help to our inventory.

I don’t want to give you any information.

We understand and you are free to decline. We would very much appreciate it if you would review the survey found at: http://www.agrifoodscanada.com/mission. If you would like to reply to the survey anonymously, the software will allow you to do that.

Can I see the results of your inventory?

When the final report and data have been compiled, Mission Community Skills Centre may reach some statistical conclusions about the local Agrifoods industry. Those statistics will be anonymous and focus on trends. At that point, Mission CSC may make a report publicly available. If you allow us to keep in touch with you by email, we will keep you up to date on our progress and outcomes of the inventory.
